Bhubaneswar: Bhavesh Patra continued to make Odisha proud by securing 100 percentile in JEE (Main)-2026 Session-2 (BE/BTech), the results of which were announced by the National Testing Agency on Monday. He had previously scored 100 percentile in JEE (Main) Session-1, becoming the first student from the state to score a double in India’s largest engineering entrance exam. The Session-1 exam was held in Jan this year and Session-2 earlier this month. While his All India Rank is 13, his state rank is 1. Across the country, 26 candidates, including Bhavesh, have scored 100 percentile, the NTA informed in a release.Son of Jayashree and Biswajit Patra of Bhubaneswar and a student of Cohen International School, Bhavesh emphasised the importance of clarity and consistency in preparation rather than merely counting study hours. He noted that maintaining consistency and dividing time effectively among subjects helped him strengthen concepts and avoid last-minute pressure. “Having a clear goal keeps you motivated and helps you stay on track,” he said.
