Prayagraj: The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A) will host its three-day annual cultural fiesta– Effervescence 2026– on its Jhalwa campus from March 29 to 31.Known for its vibrant blend of culture, creativity and youthful energy, Effervescence attracts participants from across the country and promises a spectacular line-up of events, competitions and performances. On day 1, the festival will see exciting events like Cognoscentia round 2, bike show and open dance battle. The inauguration ceremony will take place in the evening, followed by engaging performances including unplugged, mime, and a movie night. The second day will feature major attractions like crossroads, face painting and cosplay, A La Mode (fashion event), Psychedelia, innovation showcases and the high-energy dance competition Footloose, offering a platform for creativity and talent. The final day will bring together artistic and cultural expressions through events like graffiti, nukkad natak and open mic. The festival will culminate with a grand musical performance by renowned playback singer Benny Dayal. Coordinator, Dhruv Samdani, said the festival is expected to witness participation from students and artists nationwide, making it a grand celebration of talent, diversity and cultural exchange.
