Bhubaneswar: U N Behera, a former additional chief secretary from the chief minister’s office (CMO), did not turn up before the police on Sunday in connection with the investigation over the alleged theft of two sensitive govt files. “We had issued a notice to retired IAS officer U N Behera, who served as additional chief secretary to former chief minister Naveen Patnaik between Nov 2015 and Jan 2017. He was asked to appear at 11 am on Sunday. But he did not turn up. We will issue him a reminder. If he ignores, we will initiate legal action,” a senior officer said.
