Baramulla, Sept 16: Baramulla Police on Wednesday conducted a terror incident response mock drill at Veerwan Pandit Colony to assess and strengthen the preparedness and coordination of security and emergency response agencies.

The exercise was held under the overall supervision of SP Operations Baramulla and involved SOG Baramulla, SOG Sheeri, Police Stations

Baramulla and Sheeri, 53 Bn CRPF with its K9 team, 46 RR, OCAPS Baramulla, BSF 185 Bn, BDS, AST, Dog Squad, medical teams, Fire & Emergency Services, GMC Baramulla and SDRF.

The simulated exercise focused on rapid mobilisation, area domination, cordon-and-search operations, communication, evacuation, rescue and medical response, besides testing inter-agency coordination during a simulated terror incident.

Police said the drill was conducted successfully and provided participating units an opportunity to assess their operational preparedness, identify gaps and further strengthen their coordinated response mechanisms to deal with emerging security challenges.
