New Delhi: Atal Canteens in the city will now serve lunch from 10.30am to 2pm and dinner from 6pm to 9.30pm, chief minister Rekha Gupta said on Friday. Currently, the timings are 11.30am to 2pm and 6.30pm to 9.30pm.Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board also cleared the setup of resting centres for gig workers and labourers integrated with Atal Canteens and allotment of housing in Savda-Ghevra to around 1,000 slum dwellers. Around 100 Atal Canteens and distribution centres would be reorganised to improve efficiency.The financial approval limit of the DUSIB CEO was increased from Rs 3 crore to Rs 10 crore to expedite project execution. The tenure of agencies managing shelter homes was also extended till May 31 this year, or until new agencies take overGupta also directed DUSIB to prepare a detailed report on its work over the past year. to assess impact, track progress and identify areas needing improvement.
