Bengaluru: Aster DM Quality Care plans to invest Rs 1,315 cr to strengthen Karnataka’s healthcare infrastructure. The healthcare giant currently operates four hospitals in Karnataka with 1,329 operational beds.
As part of its expansion plans, Aster is developing hospitals with 550-bed in Yeshwantpur, 460-bed in Sarjapur, and a 350-bed expansion at Aster CMI Hospital which will increase access to advanced tertiary and quaternary healthcare services in Bengaluru, the healthcare group said.
The announcement came after Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder & Chairman of Aster DM Quality Care met with Karnataka Chief Minister, D.K. Shivakumar.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Executive Chairman, Aster DM Quality Care, said, “Our planned investment of ₹1,315 crore reflects our long-term confidence in Karnataka. We remain committed to partnering with the Government of Karnataka to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, expand access to advanced medical care, promote medical education and research, and improve healthcare outcomes for the people of the State,” he added.
The move comes shortly after Aster DM Healthcare and health platform, Quality Care India Limited (QCIL) successfully completed their merger in early July.
The merger brought four healthcare brands including Aster DM, Care Hospitals, Evercare and Kimshealth under the same group, with 39 hospitals across 28 cities and over 10,600 beds.
