Jaisalmer: Instead of celebrations, a pall of gloom hung over the home of Nikita, a student from Sriganganagar’s 7 KND Rawla village, who topped the Rajasthan Board Class 12 Arts exams with a score of 93.8% Tuesday. Tragically, the young achiever died weeks before the results were declared.Nikita, a student at Govt Senior Secondary School, passed away on March 20 after developing a fever while writing her exams. Her health deteriorated rapidly soon after completing her papers. She was taken for local medical care and later referred to a hospital in Bikaner, where she died during treatment. Family members shared differing accounts of her exact illness, citing both jaundice and severe diabetes.TNN
