Srinagar, Sep 12: Army Commander Northern Command Lt Gen Pratik Sharma on Saturday reviewed the counter-terrorism grid in South Kashmir and took stock of the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness.
An Army spokesman said that Lt Gen Sharma was briefed on the prevailing security scenario and the operational preparedness of the forces during his visit.
The Army Commander emphasised adaptability, precision, sustained vigilance and synergy as key enablers for successful, intelligence-driven operations and rapid response to emerging challenges.
Interacting with troops, Lt Gen Sharma appreciated their indomitable spirit and dedication towards keeping the region free of terrorism and ensuring peace and stability.
The Army said the visit underscored the importance of maintaining vigilance, operational readiness and effective coordination to meet emerging security challenges.
