Churachandpur: The Indian Army on Thursday began a three-day mega medical camp at multiple locations across the state, including Leisang and Molpheitampak villages in Churachandpur, to provide treatment to people in fringe areas facing difficulty accessing healthcare.The camps are aimed at villagers who have been unable to afford or reach proper medical facilities because of transport problems and the ongoing crisis.Specialist services at the two camps in Churachandpur include cardiology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, psychiatry, general medicine, pediatrics, dermatology and pharmacy. Medicines are being provided free of cost.Authorities said many residents in fringe villages are suffering from serious ailments but have been unable to access proper treatment because of the crisis. They said a mobile vehicle has also been deployed to bring patients to the camps.Authorities appealed to people in need of medical assistance to visit the camp locations during the three-day programme, which will conclude on March 21, 2026.
