Kanpur: The city’s air quality remained in ‘good’ category on Monday, with air quality index recorded at 47, indicating minimal health impact of air pollutants on residents.According to data available on the Prana portal, based on readings from the Central Pollution Control Board at 4pm, Kanpur was placed in the green zone with an AQI of 47.Carbon monoxide and particulate matter were the major pollutants detected in the city’s air, the data showed.The report was based on readings from three of the four CPCB monitoring stations in Kanpur.The Prana portal monitors air quality in around 237 cities across the country. A majority of the cities were in the ‘good’ AQI category on Monday.Sri Ganganagar was the only city in the ‘poor’ category, recording an AQI of 276. PM10 was reported as the major pollutant there.
