LUCKNOW: Pushpendra Kumar wanted his Instagram reel to make a splash. Instead, his nearly 30-foot leap into Pahuj Dam ended on the rocks, leaving the 32-year-old with fractures in both legs.The incident took place on July 6, when Pushpendra, a resident of Raksa area, visited Pahuj Dam with friends. According to eyewitnesses, he climbed to a spot around 30 feet above the water while his friends positioned themselves to record his stunt.Pushpendra then jumped, apparently expecting to land in deep water. However, the spot below had little water and a rocky surface. He crashed onto the rocks, suffering serious injuries to both legs.His friends rushed him to a private hospital, where he was admitted for treatment.Jhansi Police later responded after reports and a video of the incident surfaced. Police said an inquiry by Sipri Bazar police found that Pushpendra had gone to the dam and fallen from a height while roaming there, sustaining injuries to both legs. He was admitted to a private hospital and is undergoing treatment.Police said a preliminary inquiry has been conducted and further legal action, is being taken.
