Amritsar: The Amritsar police commissionerate carried out checkings in various parts of the city to ensure public safety. Patrolling was conducted in many sensitive areas of the city, and special checkpoints were set up in both inner and outer areas.Police personnel, along with Special Operations Group (SOG) staff, conducted extensive patrolling. Vehicles were thoroughly checked, and persons roaming without valid reason were questioned in detail. Additionally, malls and parking areas were also inspected. Police commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar urged the general public to immediately inform the police if they notice any illegal activity or suspicious person in their area.
