Times News NetworkKanpur: SP MLA from Arya Nagar Amitabh Bajpai responded to an FIR filed regarding the celebration of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s birthday at a primary school in Parmat, area of the city. He shared a video on Wednesday afternoon.He stated that facing legal action for being part of the opposition was not a new experience for him, labelling the FIR as a politically motivated act. He asserted that the images from the event spoke volumes about the allegations. He noted that the headmaster was present during the uniform distribution, while the cake-cutting photograph did not feature any teachers or students.Bajpai accused BJP and the district administration of exhibiting double standards, affirming his commitment to the development of govt schools.He declared that he would not be deterred by baseless cases and was prepared to engage in a legal battle if necessary. The SP MLA emphasised his goal of modernising govt schools. He mentioned that to date, he had revitalised five primary schools, two inter colleges, and one library within his Assembly constituency. He indicated that efforts were underway to modernise the sixth govt primary school, aiming to provide better educational opportunities for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. He alleged that obstacles were consistently created due to the proximity of a BJP leader’s residence to the school undergoing construction.
