Ahmedabad: The maximum temperature in city on Friday was 37.6°C, which was 0.7 degrees below normal. At 24.8°C, the minimum temperature was 2.9 degrees above normal. According to the forecast by India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum and minimum temperatures on Saturday are likely to be in the same range.The IMD bulletin reported that a trough extending from northwest Rajasthan to southwest Madhya Pradesh was observed, along with an upper-air cyclonic circulation over central Rajasthan and nearby areas. It also noted a fresh Western Disturbance in the form of an upper air cyclonic circulation over west Iran.The forecast for Gujarat indicated no large change in the maximum temperature over the next 24 hours, followed by a gradual fall of 2-3 degrees over the next two days. There will be no large change in minimum temperatures in the next seven days, according to the forecast.At 39°C, Keshod had the highest maximum temperature, followed by 38.9°C in Rajkot, 38.5°C in Amreli, and 38.3°C in Surendranagar, among others.
