Ahmedabad: The impact of an upper air cyclonic circulation was felt across the state on Tuesday, bringing the city’s maximum temperature down to 36.7°C, 0.1 degrees below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The minimum temperature remained unchanged at 22.8°C. IMD has forecast that both maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain in the same range on Wednesday.Due to weather changes, the IMD forecast indicates a chance of light to moderate rain or thundershowers in parts of Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Jamnagar, Morbi, Devbhumi Dwarka and Kutch on Wednesday, and in several parts of the state, excluding central Gujarat, on Thursday.The IMD forecast for Gujarat indicated a chance of the maximum temperature falling further by 2-3 degrees over the next three days, while there will be no major change in minimum temperatures. Across the state, maximum temperatures dropped. At 38.5°C, Rajkot had the highest maximum temperature, followed by 37.7°C in Surendranagar and 37.1°C in Kandla and Amreli, among others.
