Ahmedabad: The city recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees celsius and a minimum of 24.9 degrees celsius on Monday. Due to the impact of the Western Disturbance, both maximum and minimum temperatures were 0.6 degrees above normal. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 40 degrees celsius on Tuesday.Upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan persisted on Monday morning, according to the weather bulletin. The forecast for Gujarat indicated that there will be no major change in maximum temperatures in the next four days, after which a gradual rise by 2-3 degrees is likely. From April 24 to 26, the state’s coastal areas are likely to experience hot and humid weather, the forecast added.At 41.1 degrees celsius, Rajkot recorded the highest maximum temperature, followed by 40.9 degrees celsius in Amreli, 40.3 degrees celsius in Surendranagar, and 40.2 degrees celsius in Ahmedabad, among others.
