Ahmedabad: A family and their neighbours were allegedly attacked late Friday night after objecting to loud DJ music at a wedding event near a local community hall, according to a complaint filed with Shaherkotda police.The complainant, a 50-year-old Saraspur resident, stated that at around 11.30pm, he, his wife, and several neighbours went to the venue to request that the music volume be lowered, as it was disturbing residents in the area. In his complaint, he alleged that four unknown men at the function became aggressive, abused them, pushed them and started a scuffle before assaulting him. He said he fell to the ground and was beaten and suffered a forehead injury. As more residents gathered, a teenage boy from the neighbourhood was allegedly knocked down during the chaos. He suffered injuries to the back of the head and near the ear. Police were alerted through an emergency control call after which a police vehicle reached the spot. The complainant and the teenager to a hospital in an ambulance.
