Srinagar, Aug 19: AgriStack enrolment is gaining momentum in Jammu and Kashmir, with the number of registrations mounting rapidly as the dashboard refreshes every five minutes.
The figures accessed by Rising Kashmir at 4:50 pm show that more than 20,000 farmers have registered so far against the Union Territory’s total 12.71 lakh PM-Kisan beneficiary base, indicating a sharp increase in enrolment activity in recent days.
According to the data, enrollment so far accounts for just 2.37 per cent of the total PM-Kisan beneficiary base in J&K. Of the enrolled farmers, 7386 Farmer IDs have been approved, equivalent to around 2.33 per cent of the total PM-Kisan beneficiaries.
The dashboard also shows 189 cases pending for Farmer ID generation and approval.
District-wise, Kulgam has emerged as the leading district in the enrollment drive, followed by Kupwara, Pulwama, Baramulla and Anantnag. Kulgam has crossed the 1,100-mark, while Kupwara and Pulwama have recorded more than 700 enrolments.
At the lower end, Srinagar, Ramban, Samba, Kishtwar and Reasi figure among the districts with the lowest daily enrolment figures, with Srinagar recording the lowest among the five.
The latest reporting cycle, meanwhile, recorded 9,521 enrolments for the day, including 984 counts through enhanced name matching. The daily figure indicates a sharp increase in enrolment activity, although the cumulative coverage remains a small fraction of the 12.71 lakh PM-Kisan beneficiary base.
The dashboard further shows that enrolment is being carried out predominantly through operators, with self-enrolment accounting for a relatively small share.
The scale of the beneficiary base and the limited cumulative AgriStack enrollment underline the need for sustained field-level mobilisation and faster verification so that more farmers can be brought into the digital agricultural ecosystem.
AgriStack aims to create unique digital identities for farmers and facilitate more efficient delivery of government schemes and agricultural services.
Pertinently, the District Commissioners have been persistently evaluating the progress of AgriStack farmer registration across their districts.
The AgriStack is aimed at creating a digital foundation for agricultural services and brings together verified farmer data.
