Rohtak: The state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau, Rohtak, arrested Pawan Sharma, deputy director in the department of agriculture and farmers welfare, Sonipat, for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000.Rajkumar of Jati Kalan village in Sonipat district filed a complaint alleging the accused officer demanded Rs 1 lakh for issuing a wholesale fertiliser licence. The accused already took Rs 50,000 and was pressuring for the remaining amount, Rajkumar alleged. On April 8, a team apprehended the accused red-handed while accepting the remaining Rs 50,000.
