Patna: The second phase of the Agniveer recruitment rally for 2026-27 will begin at Danapur in Patna on Sept 22 and continue till Oct 7 with 11,042 candidates expected to participate. Army and Patna district administration have completed arrangements for security, accommodation, food and smooth movement of candidates.The rally is being organised by recruiting office (RO), headquarters, Danapur, with officials stressing that the process would remain transparent and selection would be based strictly on merit.According to a statement issued by Danapur RO, “The first phase of the recruitment process will be held from Sept 22 to 30 for Agniveer general duty, technical and tradesman categories. Candidates shortlisted for the Agniveer clerk/storekeeper technical (SKT) category will undergo the recruitment process from Oct 1 to 4. Around 3,500 candidates are expected to appear for the clerk/SKT recruitment.”The recruitment process will conclude with Agniveer Women Military Police recruitment on Oct 6 and 7. A total of 253 women candidates are expected to participate.A key feature this year is that the physical race will be conducted on a road. Army officials have advised candidates to prepare accordingly and wear good-quality, comfortable running shoes.Recruitment director Col Bindu Agnihotri said, “Arrangements had also been made to provide food to candidates during the recruitment process. Jeevika Didi groups will assist in the arrangements with their kitchens being used to provide food to candidates.”Army has warned candidates against touts and middlemen and advised them not to pay anyone promising selection or assistance. Recruitment-related information should be obtained only through official channels.Army has coordinated with Patna district magistrate Kundan Kumar, Patna SSP Kartikeya K Sharma, Danapur SDM Virupaksha Vikram Singh and the headquarters of J&B Sub Area for the smooth conduct of the rally.
