Navi Mumbai: Advocate Priya Goswami (32), a resident of Karanjade sector-2A, died in a hit-and-run mishap reported on Sheva road stretch near Navi Mumbai International Airport. She was on a regular walk when a speeding unidentified vehicle dashed her and fled from the spot without coming to her rescue.She fell down and was bleeding excessively on the narrow road stretch. After she had parked her vehicle on the roadside, she started walking towards Chinchpada village from the Waghivali village side. A speeding vehicle dashed her from behind. Other vehicle drivers rushed her to a hospital, but doctors declared her dead before admission.The Airport police have lodged a fatal accident case against the unknown vehicle driver under the relevant sections of the BNS and Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation is on.
