Mumbai: A 49-year-old woman was arrested by MHB Colony Police on the basis of a complaint of cheating filed by her husband. Police said the woman produced a bogus housing society NOC (no-objection certificate) and a fake death certificate in her husband’s name, even though he was alive, to sell off a flat that was jointly owned by the couple.The couple had separated a few years ago and had filed for divorce at the family court. Police said the buyer of the flat mortgaged it with a bank for seeking a housing loan of Rs 1.1 crore.The woman has been produced before a magistrate court for remand, after being arrested.
