Tarn Taran: The accused in the on Feb 9 shooting at Mai Bhago Law College here died on Wednesday night. Prince Raj Singh had turned the gun on him soon after shooting dead his classmate Sandeep Kaur inside their classroom and in front of their classmates.Senior SP Surendra Lamba confirmed Raj succumbed to his injuries at the hospital where he had been admitted in a critical condition since Monday. His death was announced on Wednesday night. His body was taken to his native village on Thursday, where he was cremated in the presence of grieving family members.The shooting had spread panic across the campus. Both students were in their first semester, and the sudden gunshots left classmates and faculty members stunned.According to police, Sandeep died on the spot after being shot, while Raj sustained a critical head injury. He was rushed to hospital, where doctors fought to save his life for two days. Despite intensive medical care, he could not survive.Sandeep, who belonged to a large family with six sisters and one brother, was cremated on Wednesday. Her death has already plunged her family and village into mourning. Police are continuing their investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident. CCTV footage from the college is being examined, and statements from students and staff are being recorded.
