Nagpur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Nagpur on Wednesday caught constable Atish Nikode of Ganeshpeth police station red-handed while accepting first installment of a 5,000 bribe.The complainant, a police dept employee, had registered a case at Ganeshpeth police station following an accident. He later approached Nikode for a copy of chargesheet for filing a compensation petition in court. Nikode allegedly demanded 5,000 as bribe. When the complainant refused to pay, he approached ACB Nagpur.Acting on the complaint, an ACB trap team verified the demand and laid a trap on July 1. Nikode was caught red-handed while accepting 3,000 as the first installment of the 5,000 bribe. A case was lodged against Nikode at Ganeshpeth police station. TNN
