Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a decoy operation at Kalupur Railway Station in the city on Monday and arrested a railway booking clerk, a Khokhra resident, for allegedly collecting money over and above the authorized ticket fare from passengers during routine travel. In a statement, the ACB said the accused, a class-3 chief commercial clerk, was posted at the booking window of the station. ACB officials said they had received inputs that passengers travelling to other states were being harassed by a railway employee who allegedly demanded additional money, ranging between Rs 10 and Rs 500 per ticket, besides the official fare from commuters. The ACB laid a decoy trap with the help of an alert citizen.
