Nagpur: Staffers of the city’s Aapli Bus service returned a purse containing gold ornaments and cash to a 75-year-old woman, safeguarding valuables she had set aside for her niece’s wedding.Sulochana Patil, a resident of Gumgaon, was travelling on an Aapli Bus from Dongargaon to Gumgaon on April 15 when she accidentally left her purse behind. The loss came to light only after she alighted, prompting her to contact the bus service helpline. Meanwhile, during a routine inspection, conductor Bhushan Korde found the unattended purse inside the bus. Upon checking, Korde found a gold mangalsutra weighing around 2 tolas, estimated to be worth 3.5 lakh, along with 10,950 cash. Korde promptly informed the depot manager Ajay Ingole and ensured the valuables were returned to Patil after formalities.
