tnnPrayagraj : Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday targeted BJP led state govt and asserted that the handful of sycophantic officials on whose advice state Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is acting will ultimately be the cause of his political downfall. He further asserted that student leader Ashutosh Pandey was scheduled to appear for the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) examination on Wednesday—an opportunity arising after a gap of five years—yet he remains incarcerated. He added that he himself had intended to visit Ashutosh Pandey in jail, but the administration refused to grant permission.Issuing a warning to the CM, Singh declared, “Do not make the mistake of clashing with the youths as history bears witness that it is the youth who have brought about the end of every dictatorship.”Singh also remarked that during the ‘Discussion on paper leaks’ event held in Prayagraj recently, students, advocates and representatives of various student organizations were engaging in deliberations in a peaceful and democratic manner, but, the BJP govt and the administration were rattled even by the peaceful discussion. He, however, asserted that the attempt to disrupt an event taking place within a closed auditorium serves as proof that govt was afraid of the questions raised by the youths. The AAP MP further stated that govt appears unconcerned if papers are leaked, examinations are cancelled or the future of lakhs of students is ruined. However, the moment students seek to voice their concerns regarding these issues, the administration adopts a repressive stance. He emphasized that student leaders like Ashutosh Pandey and Pankaj Pandey were arrested because they were raising their voices on behalf of the students. This, he argued, constitutes a direct assault on the democratic system.Sanjay pointed out that over the past several years in state, numerous recruitment and competitive examinations have been embroiled in controversies involving paper leaks, rigging, and subsequent cancellations. He stated that the responsibility for conducting recruitment examinations has frequently been entrusted to agencies and companies whose operational methods were already under a cloud of suspicion. Singh noted that the administration’s attempt to distupt the discussion on paper leaks has only served to amplify the issue.Singh announced that the public awareness campaign launched against paper leaks and recruitment scams would now be expanded across the entire UP. The Aam Aadmi Party intends to engage in dialogue with students, youth, and parents across all districts of the state to gather their suggestions and grievances. He affirmed that this struggle would continue unabated until a fair examination system is established, complete transparency is ensured in recruitment processes, perpetrators of paper leaks face stringent punishment, and justice is delivered to the youth.Appealing to the state’s youth, students and citizens to join this campaign, he emphasized that this is not merely a battle for the students, but a battle to safeguard the future of Uttar Pradesh. The Aam Aadmi Party, he declared, will continue its struggle until justice is secured for the youth and recruitment scams are completely eradicated.
