Patna: Students from LKG to Class XII showcased their creativity and technological skills at the Annual Robotics Exhibition organised by International School. Held on the theme “Small Ideas, Big Innovations”, the exhibition featured working models designed to address everyday problems through technology.The ICSE wing was inaugurated by former Patna High Court judge Justice Samrendra Pratap Singh, while the CBSE wing was inaugurated by Dr A A Hai, Director, Paras HMRI. A robotic model welcomed the dignitaries with programmed gestures and greetings.Projects displayed included obstacle-avoiding spectacles, Bluetooth-controlled cars, an AI crop doctor robot, a disaster management robot, a solar-powered agriculture robot, a footstep electricity generator, a serving robot, an automatic plant watering system, a smart traffic management system, a rain detector and an AI sign-language translator. Students presented their projects to teachers and visitors from various schools.The models were judged on innovation, creativity, functionality, practical application and presentation.Principal-director Farhat Hasan said the exhibition celebrated students’ curiosity and encouraged them to transform simple observations into meaningful solutions. Vice-principal Rekha Singh said the event enabled students to move beyond textbooks through hands-on learning.Youth Dialogue held at AN CollegeVivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Patna branch, in association with AN College, organised a Youth Dialogue at the Satyendra Narayan Sinha Auditorium to mark World Brotherhood Day. The programme began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp and the garlanding of Swami Vivekananda’s portrait. College principal Prof Ratna Amrit welcomed the guests and spoke about the relevance of Vivekananda’s teachings for today’s youth.The keynote speaker, Padma Shri Nivedita Raghunath Bhide, national president of Vivekananda Kendra, spoke about Vivekananda’s life and struggles, his historic address at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on September 11, 1893, and his efforts to present Indian culture and philosophy on the global stage despite facing hardships. Her address drew an enthusiastic response from students.Awards and certificates were distributed among students during the programme. Faculty members, non-teaching staff and hundreds of students attended the event, with the NSS unit playing an important role in its organisation.
