Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Sunday said the state govt was working to resolve the long-standing grievances of unaided teachers through structured dialogue.Speaking at a felicitation programme organised by unaided teachers at S K Memorial Hall, Choudhary assured them that solutions would be worked out through direct talks with teachers and their representatives. “I will meet all of you, I will talk to you, and I will also talk to your representatives. We have also directed the officials in this regard,” Choudhary said.He said a high-level committee had been constituted to examine their issues and senior officials had been directed to expedite the process.“Your dignity will remain completely intact, and the state government is committed to working in this direction,” Choudhary said, describing teachers as creators and makers of students’ destinies.Highlighting recent developments in education, the CM said teaching operations began simultaneously at 211 degree colleges on July 15, alongside the recruitment of 2,500 assistant professors. He said the govt aimed to retain local talent by providing quality educators. Besides, 700 model schools under the Saraswati Vidya Niketan banner have been established, catering to 3.5 lakh students.Choudhary also highlighted digital initiatives, saying 75,000 teachers had been integrated into the ‘Vidyarthi Saathi’ application. Around 1.42 lakh children are currently using the app for night studies.BJP MLC Nawal Kishore Yadav welcomed Choudhary with an angavastram, memento and turban. Vidhan Parishad chairperson Awadhesh Narayan Singh and MLCs Nawal Kishore Yadav and Neeraj Kumar also addressed the programme.
