Prayagraj: A member of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has moved the Allahabad high court seeking quashing of an FIR lodged against him for allegedly recording and sharing on social media a video highlighting the condition of a govt primary school in Farrukhabad district.The writ petition filed by Gaurav Bharti alias Gaurav Kumar has challenged the FIR lodged against him on Aug 19 under Section 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace) and Section 353 (aimed at preventing the spread of false or provocative statements that could lead to public disorder, unrest, or communal tensions) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.The matter is likely to be taken up by the court next week.
