Kanpur: The health department will launch a special communicable disease control campaign in the district from July 1,2026. District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh will inaugurate the campaign at Geeta nagar Park (Ram Lila Ground) Kaka deo at 10am.According to chief medical officer Hari Datta Nemi, in accordance with the directives of the chief secretary, UP govt, a ‘Special Communicable Disease Control Campaign’ will be conducted across all districts of the state from July 1 to July 31, 2026, and the ‘Dastak Campaign’ (Phase II) will be carried out from July 11 to July 31, 2026, with the aim of effectively preventing and controlling communicable diseases and brain fever (AES/JE).The chief medical officer stated that, through the coordination of various departments, activities related to the prevention of communicable diseases and encephalitis, as well as sanitation and public awareness, would be conducted during the campaign.He appealed to public representatives, officials and employees of concerned departments, and the general public to participate in the campaign’s launch event and cooperate in making it a success.
