Ranchi: An overall 86.18% (70,959) of students passed out of 82,340 who appeared from the state for the CBSE Class X examinations, whose results were announced on Wednesday. The pass percentage of girls was 86.91 compared to 85.6 for boys.In Ranchi, Pranya Priya of Delhi Public School (DPS) emerged as the overall state topper, securing 99.6%, according to data collated from various schools. DPS principal Jaya Chauhan said that the school achieved 100% pass rate. Expressing her joy, Sadhna Arya of DPS said, “My aim is to crack NEET-UG.”Principal of Surendranath Centenary School (SCS), Samita Sinha, said, “Of 208 students who appeared for the exam, all passed, with te highest score of 98.4%.” At JVM Shyamali, Kashvi Roy scored 99%, “I want to pursue engineering from IIT Bombay and have opted for physics, chemistry and mathematics for higher studies. Celebrating this moment with my parents makes it even more special.” At DAV Nirja Sahay, of 132 appeared, all passed with the highest scoring rate of 95.6%. At DAV Public School, Pundag, 203 students appeared, with 33 scoring above 90%. Mahi Shree emerged as the school topper with 96.8%. At Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School, Aditi Kushwaha scored the highest ofh 96%, while DAV Public School, Hehal, saw Shubhangi Kumari scoring an impressive 98%. DAV Public School, Bariatu, also recorded a perfect record, with all 290 students passing. Jigyaasa Karn secured the top position with 96.6%. At Tender Heart School, all 399 students passed with Sourav Kumar emerging as topper with 99.4%. Principal Usha Kiran Jha said, “We are elated with the outcome.” At Sarla Birla Public School, Radhika Lodha became the topper with 98.6%. In Jamshedpur too, out of the 6,140 students who appeared for the exam, the girls’ success rate was 95.7%, compared to 94.3% for boys. Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) student Jampana Shreya emerged as the city topper with 98.6%. In Hazaribag, St Xavier’s School and Holy Cross School maintained a 100% pass rate while in DAV Public School, it was 90%.
