Kanpur: The body of an 82-year-old man who had gone missing following a heated exchange with his wife was allegedly found hanging from a tree in a field in Gopalpurwa village of Kanpur late Wednesday.According to police, Ramchandra, a resident of Gopalpurwa, said his father, Devidin, had an argument with his mother, Sundara (70), on Monday, after which he left home without informing anyone.The family searched for him after he failed to return but found no trace of him.Two days later, Devidin’s younger son, Banshilal, found his body hanging from a tree.Police reached the spot after being informed and sent the body for postmortem examination.The Nawabganj police station in charge said further action would be taken after a complaint from the family.
