Ahmedabad: Gujarat University (GU) has announced the results of its recruitment examination conducted for 123 non-teaching posts across various categories. A total of 5,288 candidates appeared for the written examination, out of which 4,341 candidates have been declared successful, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 82.1%.The examination was held on March 15 for more than 130 vacancies, including posts such as junior clerk, senior clerk and others. Following the exam, the university released a provisional answer key. However, objections were raised against certain questions, after which the university decided to award four marks (two marks per question) to all candidates for those disputed questions.According to the detailed results, the highest number of candidates appeared for the junior clerk posts, which had 84 vacancies. A total of 4,926 candidates took the exam for this category, and 4,071 of them passed. For the seven senior clerk positions, 187 candidates appeared, with 156 qualifying successfully.In the junior clerk (PWD) category, 135 candidates appeared for four posts, and 84 passed. For the single post of accounts officer, 22 candidates appeared, but only four qualified. Similarly, for the librarian post, three out of six candidates passed.No candidates managed to clear the examination for the posts of superintendent, lab assistant and lab technician. Two out of five candidates passed for the press manager post, and four out of 16 candidates qualified for the pharmacist role.The university has also released category-wise performance data along with the results.
