Jhajjar: An eight-year-old boy, the son of a nursing college chairman, was allegedly kidnapped in broad daylight from a Haryana village on Wednesday, triggering a massive multi-agency search operation. The child, identified as Hunarjeet, was safely traced near the Rohtak-Sonipat bypass hours later and has been reunited with his family.According to family members, the incident occurred around 11 am while the child was playing Holi near the village’s main chowk. A group of unidentified men reportedly forced the boy into a white Scorpio and fled. Local residents attempted to intercept the speeding SUV, but the driver managed to evade them.The abduction prompted an immediate large-scale response. Approximately 12 specialised police teams, including units from the Jhajjar and Rohtak police, CIA, and the STF, were deployed. Crime branch deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Amit Dahiya confirmed that they analysed CCTV footage showing the white SUV moving through narrow village lanes to identify the suspects and their escape route.Following hours of coordinated effort, the boy was found abandoned near the Sonipat bypass.
