Vadodara: An eight-foot-long crocodile was rescued from a construction site near the busy Rajmahal Road on Tuesday night after it fell into a pit and was spotted by locals.Volunteers from Wildlife Rescue Trust reached the spot and safely rescued the reptile before handing it over to the forest department.A lake adjacent to the construction site is known to be a habitat for crocodiles. Residents of nearby colonies said the reptiles are often spotted in the waterbody, especially during the monsoon.
