Chennai: PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss released the party’s poll manifesto on Wednesday, promising to provide a `healthy’ meal for Rs 10 for labourers if PMK front comes to power. Anbumani also promised one crore jobs in five years and Rs 5000 per month for unemployed youth.Speaking to reporters after releasing the manifesto in Chennai, Anbumani said that the Rs 10 meal will consist of rice, sambar, rasam, curd, two side dishes and a pickle for lunch. “On Sundays, non vegetarian food will be provided at Rs 25,” he said. Anbumani also announced that free evening snacks will be provided for govt and govt aided school students at the end of the day. Steps would be taken to make TN a 3.5 trillion dollar economy by 2047, he said. The manifesto said stern measures would be taken to make Tamil Nadu a drug-free state. “We (PMK) will establish a separate wing to curtail drug movement in the state, and a DGP will be appointed as head of the wing. A special toll-free number, ‘987,’ will be established to report exclusively about the drug menace. Those giving information about drug sale and circulation will be rewarded with Rs 10,000,” Anbumani said. PMK a `social justice survey’ (caste survey) would be conducted.
