VADODARA: A seven-year-old boy died after his neck got trapped in the hydraulic door of a stationary bus at a garage in Gujarat’s Vadodara district, with CCTV footage capturing the incident, police said on Thursday.The incident took place on Wednesday evening inside a garage in the limits of Kapurai police station on the outskirts of the city, Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Gupta said.The victim, Divyesh Rathwa, was playing near the garage when he apparently tried to enter the parked bus. The hydraulic door suddenly closed and trapped his neck, the DCP said.CCTV footage showed the boy losing consciousness and collapsing after two men at the garage managed to push the door open and rescue him.He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Gupta said.Divyesh lived with his labourer parents behind the garage, police said.An accidental death report has been registered, and further investigation is underway, the police official said.(With PTI inputs)
