Chandigarh: UT police have arrested six persons in two separate assault and attempt-to-murder cases reported from Sectors 25 and 26. In the first case, Sector 11 police arrested two accused after a man was allegedly attacked with sticks, rods, a sword and an axe near the Sector 25 taxi stand on Aug 12, leaving him critically injured. In the second case, Sector 26 police arrested four persons for allegedly assaulting two men near a nightclub in Sector 26 on Aug 10. Both victims were admitted to GMSH-16. Police said further investigation is under way in both cases.
