Prayagraj: North Central Railway and Railway Recruitment Board, Prayagraj made elaborate arrangements for smooth and transparent conduct of the RRB Level-1 Computer Based Test (CBT), commencing on Monday. The exam, being conducted for recruitment to 22,195 posts across the country, will conclude on Aug 25.According to NCR chief public relations officer Shivam Sharma, the exam will be conducted over 16 days in 48 shifts. A total of 52,39,620 candidates have registered for the test, which will be held at 335 centres in 144 cities across the country.Sharma said RRB Prayagraj will oversee examinations at 28 centres, including 25 in UP and three in Uttarakhand. Through the recruitment exercise, 1,183 vacancies in nine categories across the three divisions and workshops of NCR will be filled.Within the NCR zone, 24 examination centres have been set up across five cities. Prayagraj has 10 centres, the highest number, followed by seven in Agra, four in Kanpur, two in Aligarh and one in Jhansi.Senior railway officials are appointed as centre coordinators at every venue, while additional officers have been deployed at larger centres to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.The railway administration has put in place extensive security arrangements. All centres will remain under 100% CCTV surveillance, and dedicated control rooms will monitor activities throughout the examination period. Personnel of Railway Protection Force (RPF) have also been deployed at the venues, said the official.CPRO further said manpower has been deployed in a 1:100 ratio to facilitate candidate verification and ensure smooth operations. Officials and staff members have also been trained in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contingency management protocols.The railway administration has coordinated with district authorities and police departments to ensure proper traffic management and maintain law and order during the examination period. Candidates have been advised to strictly follow the instructions mentioned in their e-call letters and report to their respective centres well in advance.
