Bengaluru: The ongoing conflict in West Asia resulted in the cancellation of 50 flights linking Bengaluru to key destinations in the region Sunday, according to Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).As many as 22 arrivals and 28 departures were cancelled as of 6pm. Routes to key Gulf destinations — Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Dubai, and Doha — bore the brunt, impacting hundreds of passengers.The disruption, which began late evening Saturday, rippled into early Sunday. Airport officials said overall operations remained normal and they set up a dedicated passenger help desk at the T2 kerbside to assist affected travellers.Saturday, UAE routes accounted for a significant part of the cancellations. IndiGo had recorded the most cancellations, followed by Air India Express, Emirates, and Etihad.
