Vadodara: Fifty patients, including pregnant women, had to be evacuated after a fire broke out in the medical store room on the ground floor of the Government Civil Hospital in Godhra early on Friday.The hospital, which is affiliated with a medical college, witnessed panic following the fire. Hospital authorities immediately launched evacuation efforts, while fire brigade personnel and police rushed to the spot and initiated rescue operations.No injuries were reported in the incident, but the medical store room was completely gutted.The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, though a short circuit is suspected. An investigation is underway.
