Prayagraj: A five-year-old girl was charred to death after a fire broke out in her thatched hut in Kathgaon village on Thursday evening, police said. The child was asleep inside the hut at the time, while her four siblings managed to escape. Despite locals rushing to the spot and attempting to douse the flames, the minor could not be rescued. Two goats were also charred to death in the incident, and all household belongings were destroyed, police said.
