Snakes are scary slitherers for their venomous reputation, and spotting one of these reptiles sends a chill down a person’s spine.

Their fangs inject potent venom, which can be life-threatening and leave behind the famous double-dotted marks when they bite.

But do all snakes leave the same marks, or is there more to it?

Most of us assume a snakebite would be impossible to miss. With intense pain, an obvious puncture wound, maybe even the sight of the snake itself slithering away, that is what most of us think.

Because nature is full of mysteries, so are some snakes that leave without a trace.
