Noida International Airport received aerodrome licence from DGCA on March 6

Noida: Security and traffic management around Noida International Airport have been ramped up ahead of its March 28 inauguration, with the police commissionerate setting up five temporary outposts and deploying additional patrol vehicles in Jewar.Acting on directions from police commissioner Laxmi Singh, the outposts have been set up at the cargo and domestic terminals, and milestones 32 km, 27 km, and 15 km bolster internal and external security.Jewar Domestic Terminal police station has been set up to supervise internal arrangements, while police teams from Rabupura and Dankaur will handle the outposts at the outer zones, including at milestones 27 km and 15km. The outposts at milestone 32 km, cargo and domestic terminals will come under Terminal police station to ensure rapid response within the airport’s internal zone.Seven PCR/PRV vehicles with modern systems will patrol key routes, including the Yamuna Expressway stretch between Jewar toll plaza and Phalaida cut and the main approach road leading to the airport, ensuring surveillance, smooth traffic flow and rapid emergency response.Two PRV vehicles have been deployed to patrol nearby villages and connecting roads such as Dayanatpur, Mukimpur Sivara, Ramner, Kishorpur, Banwariwas, and Khurja Road Thora, as well as Nagla Hukam Singh, Nagla Jahanu, Kuraib, Ranhera, Parohi, and Bankapur along Khurja Road.Three more PRV vehicles have been assigned for regular patrolling in other areas under the Terminal police station.With the airport expected to witness heavy passenger and cargo movement in the future, these measures aim to ensure robust security, efficient traffic management, and quick emergency response mechanisms.
