Rajkot: A 48-year-old woman, undergoing treatment for mental health issues, died after jumping from the seventh floor of Junagadh Civil Hospital on Monday morning.The deceased, identified as Anjana Jethwa, was a resident of Junagadh’s Daulatpara area.In his statement to the police, Jethwa’s 25-year-old son, Abhishek, said she had been undergoing treatment for mental health issues for the past seven years and frequently experienced severe anxiety.According to the preliminary investigation, Jethwa left home on Monday morning after telling her family that she was going to buy groceries. She instead went to the civil hospital. CCTV footage showed her entering the hospital and climbing the stairs before the incident.Police said a note recovered from her contained contact details for her sons and attributed her decision to her deteriorating mental health.Junagadh City A-Division police registered an accidental death under Section 194 of the BNSS and launched an investigation.
