Hot and gusty winds are also likely to prevail during the daytime, maintaining severe heatwave conditions. However, there may be some respite towards the end of the month. S Sunil Pandey, weather expert at CSA University, said that a trough line extending from western Uttar Pradesh to Bengal, coupled with cyclonic and anti-cyclonic circulations affecting hill regions, could bring slight relief.
