Times News NetworkKanpur:The 42nd foundation day of Chandrashekhar Krishak Samiti was celebrated on Saturday at Lal Bahadur Shastri Krishak Sabhagar in the Directorate of Extension at Chandrashekhar Azad Agriculture and Technology University. On the occasion of the foundation day of the Krishak Samiti, the university’s vice-chancellor Sanjeev Gupta was present as the chief guest.He said in his address that farmers have a very big contribution to the progress of the country. They should now become not just farmers but also agricultural entrepreneurs, so that they can become self-reliant and independent. He said that the university’s scientists have developed the latest agricultural technology and improved seeds, due to which agricultural production and cultivated area have increased. He appealed to the farmers present that the proper time for sowing Rabi crops is from 15 October to 15 November.Director Extension . V. K. Tripathi gave detailed information about the extension activities being carried out by the university in the interest of farmers. P K. Rathi gave detailed information about the schemes being run in the interest of farmers. On this occasion, scientists gave farmers current information on various subjects. Former MLA Shri Raghunandan Singh Bhadoria and Block Pramukh Sarsaul Dr. Vijay Ratna Tomar also addressed the farmers.For innovations made in the field of agriculture by progressive farmers, 15 farmers were honored for their excellent work.
