Shimla: A road accident claimed four lives and left one person injured in Bhawanagar sub-division of Kinnaur district on Saturday morning.The accident took place around 7am on the Jani link road near Bhawanagar when a car travelling from Tapri to Jani suddenly went out of control and fell into a gorge. Five people were in the vehicle at the time. Four of them—Himesh Kumar (19), Krishna (42), Sushma (47), and Indra Lal (30)—died on the spot. Vidya Krishna (32) was injured and is undergoing treatment.The bodies have been sent to the primary health centre at Tapri for a postmortem. Bhawanagar DSP Rajkumar said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed sorrow over the loss of lives. He directed the district administration to provide all possible assistance to the next of kin of the deceased and the best treatment to the injured person.
