Rajkot: A 38-year-old man was killed after being hit by a car while crossing the Morbi Bypass Road near City Art Complex on the outskirts of Rajkot on Tuesday.The deceased was identified as Nishant Pandya. His uncle, Shailesh Pandya (69), lodged a complaint at Gandhigram police station against the car driver, Rajesh Indrana.According to the complaint, Pandya was crossing the road when the car allegedly struck him, causing serious injuries. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital but was declared dead.A case has been registered against the driver under Sections 106(1), 281 and 125(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
